The Association for Civil Rights in Israel
Tel Aviv Metro Area and Central District
ACRI is seeking a digital media intern - a self-starter personality to venture into the field and professionally document our work and subjects in the field to build an internal gallery of stock photos. The ideal candidate also has digital marketing experience and will be tasked with building our English-language social media reach and strategy to reach the international audience, including Facebook and Twitter marketing.
This is a paid internship. The intern will receive an educational grant of $500 per week.
While interns are expected to take care of their own travel, accommodation, and insurance, insideIL will provide them with resources and support to help them with these aspects of their experience.
The candidate will partake in devising and acting on our social media strategy including aspects of fieldwork, all while considering the international community relations aspect of our work.
Founded in 1972, ACRI is a policy-driven non-profit organization protecting the human rights and civil liberties of all people living in Israel and the Occupied Territories.
We uphold the pillars of democracy by demanding that duty bearers change policies and practices that violate basic rights and liberties. ACRI works together with the courts, the Knesset, government agencies and civil society to tackle Israel’s most urgent human rights injustices. To this end, our strategic focus areas include: the Arab minority, migrants and refugees, the occupied territories, social and economic rights, and political and social rights.
ACRI promotes a public discourse about human rights via events and protests, as well as extensive social and print media in Hebrew, Arabic and English, while advancing an institutionalized human rights education curriculum through intensive work with teacher training colleges, universities, and the Ministry of Education.
ACRI is part of the International Network of Civil Liberties Organizations along with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), Liberty (UK), and 13 other such organizations across the globe.
